Our mission

To improve health outcomes of future generations through evidence-based insights

Advancing microbiome health for everyone

Tiny Health's proprietary genome database and bioinformatics pipeline was initially curated specifically for maternal and infant microbiome health. Now, we've expanded into all areas of gut and vaginal health, spanning from the rapidly evolving gut in the 0-3 years old range to preconception vaginal health and adult gut health.

From end-user kit distribution, metadata collection, DNA extraction, shotgun metagenomic sequencing in our CLIA-certified lab, fastQ file delivery, data analysis, manuscript preparation and assistance with publishing.

We can help you with experimental design for success in microbiome analyses, provide high-qualify user interface for surveys and access to results, customize protocols and personalized recommendations, and more.

Enabling microbiome discovery

Diagnosis and treatment of chronic disease

Our core belief is that comprehensive and precise strain-level measurements of the human vaginal and gut microbiome is required to reveal healthy versus disease-state consortiums to drive novel nutrition and therapeutic opportunities.

Tiny Health's platform simplifies microbiome sampling and health metadata collection via mail-in kits and digital tooling. The samples go through our metagenomics pipeline and analysis - the data generated is mined by AI algorithms to return specific solutions, including new prognostic biomarkers, formulations or therapeutic pipeline validation and discovery.

We have the potential to advance microbiome science by generating solutions to address unmet clinical and nutrition needs for a variety of chronic conditions, leveraging the biology of the human vaginal and gut microbiome.

Our technology

Our proprietary technology (patent pending) tests for species level precision and a comprehensive list of microbes found in the gut and vaginal microbiome.

We use strain-level identification and precision science to detect and confirm microbes’ transference, assess probiotics impact, and provide targeted suggestions.

The

Shotgun sequencing

Through metagenomic sequencing, Tiny Health uses the nucleic acids in microbial DNA to identify all microbes present in the sample.

Taxonomy & functions

We use functional profiling along with relative abundance to determine the microbes functions: what they’re actually doing in the body.

Strain resolution

Each sample screens for 120,000+ bacteria, viruses, fungi, and protozoan parasites– down to a 0.05% relative abundance.

CLIA-CAP lab

All Tiny Health tests are processed in a US Based CLIA-certified and CAP-certified lab, assuring the highest quality standards.

Employers & Health Plans

Women and infant health and wellness care has been lagging behind. This population is particularly vulnerable yet presents the biggest opportunity for preventative and proactive care that can avert long-term chronic conditions.

The silent epidemic of childhood chronic conditions and autoimmune diseases is a top area of spend and rising quickly. It will have a significant impact on the health of your employees and business, resulting in high-cost claims. Tiny Health's root cause approach to nurturing and healing the vaginal and gut microbiome presents a cost-efficient and personalized way to build a healthy immune system for life.
